Week 14 - Task: Assignment - Things I like and don't like- 11326

1. Outcome
Through this activity, students write a text describing their preferences in everyday
aspects using the grammar and vocabulary learned in Week 14.
 

2. Description

 Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs)

 Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.
o Situation:  Write a post on a website describing your preferences in
everyday aspects.
o Content:
 Vocabulary from Unit 4 (Week 14)
 Food, music, and activities you prefer (like+noun, like +
verb (gerund), I dislike….,  I hate…., I love…..) in affirmative
and negative form
 And, then (coordinating conjunctions)
  Use the 1st and 2nd person in the singular form.
 Vocabulary and expressions from Units 1, 2, and 3 if
necessary
 Step 3: Write the text together with your classmate.
 Step 4: Review the content, grammar, and spelling of your text together.
Present it on a single Word sheet.
 Step 5: Once you check your text, attach a cover to your writing and upload it
to the Canvas platform. Write your name and last name on the cover. Include
your photo. Example of the cover:

J: I love pop and rock too.
S: Nice! Let’s go to a concert on Saturday!

S: I love rock and pop too, but I dislike rap.
J: So, it’s a rock concert. What time is it?
S: Yes, it is. It’s at 8 pm and it finishes at 10 pm.
J: Nice! It finishes early so we have time for dinner.
S: That’s a good idea! Do you like tacos?
J: I hate tacos. I like meat and vegetables
S: No problem. I don’t like vegetables, but I love meat. And what about drinks?
J: Well, I love wine so a bottle of red wine with meat is great!
