DETAILE
I.OBJECTIVES

D
a. state the rules in multiplying integers

b. perform multiplication on integers

c. solve integers in three terms

LESSON
II. LEARNING CONTENT

Skill: MULTIPLYING INTEGERS

PLAN Reference: K-12 e Math

Materials: chalk board, flash cards, ballpen, stick

Value: Teamwork

Strategy used: Cooperative Learning

III. PROCEDURES

PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES

A. Drill: students will give any number and let them add those numbers

B. Review: Set of Integers

C. New lesson

1. Motivation: divide the class in to two groups, each group will have
two representative, they will answer when the flash cards raise. The
students will race to answer.

2. Presentation:

Present the rules in multiplying integers,

Rules:

1. Multiplying two integers with same sign, the product is

always positive.

2. Multiplying two integers with unlike sign, the product is

always negative.

3. Any number multiplied by 0 the product is always 0.

3.Discussion:

- How many ballpen are there?

- How many stick are there?

- what is the product if we multiply 3 ballpen and 4 rubber bond?

BALLPENS STICKS

 Give another examples in multiplying integers involving two to three terms

 3 x 6 = 18

 -12 x 3 x 1 = -36

 4 x 5 x 2 = 40

 -9 x (-9) x 1 = 81

4.Generalization

There are three rules in multiplying integers, first is, Multiplying two
integers with same sign, the product is always positive. Second Multiplying two
integers with unlike sign, the product is always negative. The third one Any
number multiplied by 0 the product is always 0.

5. application:

Group activity, multiply the number inside the diamonds with each of the number

Inside the circle. Then write each product in the box.

Group 1 Group 2 Group 3

IV. EVALUATION:

DIRECTION: solve the following integers and state what rule is the following.

1.10x-2=

2.-3x-5=

3.-1x2x4=

4.5x4x2=

5.-7x-1=

6.60x0=

7.-12x3=

8.0x-100=

9.4x3x-2=

10.7x8=

V.ASSIGNMENT

Direction: write in a ¼ sheet of paper, write the missing number to complete each.

1.8(?)=16

2.100x0=(?)

3.(?)5=15
