What is Threat and Error Management?
• Reduce Errors

Three Categories of Threats
• Operational Threats
• Equipment malfunction, closures on an
airfield
• Environmental Threats

• Mismanaged Threats
• Inappropriate control inputs
• Not extending the landing gear
• Not handling an engine out (single or multi)
• Improper speed for flight condition
