Dear Sir/Ma’am,
I am writing this on behalf of Shiv Nadar (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be
University) (www.SNU.edu.in), an institution that is envisioned to be an
interdisciplinary research led institution to transform higher education in India. The
institution is established near Greater Noida (Delhi-NCR) by the Shiv Nadar
Foundation (SNF) conceived by Dr. Shiv Nadar, Founder, HCL (a $ 12 billion
global technology and IT enterprise).

All the undergraduate programmes at Shiv Nadar IOE allow students to major in a
subject while also studying and experimenting with a range of other minors and
electives. In addition to the minimum requirements to earn a Baccalaureate, all
undergraduates fulfill the six general educational requirements of the undergraduate
curriculum at Shiv Nadar IOE, viz.

1. Core Common Curriculum (CCC) which provide students an understanding

of the forces that are driving local, national, and global change.
2. Major which is a specialized subject area to meet the highest standards of
employers or post-graduate faculties. The institution provides students the
flexibility to pursue double Majors and various Major-Minor combinations.
3. University Wide Electives (UWE) which give students the flexibility to
choose multiple university wide electives and providing them the opportunity
to discover their academic passion and enhancing their engagement in the
learning process.
4. Research Experiential and Applied Learning (REAL) which integrate
research, and training into the undergraduate curriculum across all
disciplines.
5. International Context (IC) which incorporates an international focus in the
programs of study and endeavor to take advantage of study abroad
opportunities.
6. Values, Ethics, Leadership and Service (VELS) which further the objective
of preparing students for leadership positions in society.

Within short span of less than 13 years of its establishment, the institution has been

successful in having academic partnerships with few of the best
universities/institutions in world such as Carnegie Mellon, U Penn, Duke University
& Babson College.

We would be grateful if you can take our student Jasmehar Singh Chadha
pursuing 1st Year in Bachelor of Technology - Computer Science and Engineering
bearing Roll No. 2210110719, for internship/project between 04-Jul-2023 to 10-
Aug-2023 at C-DAC. Shiv Nadar (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University)
has "No Objection" for his Internship. The internship/project work is required by the
student as a part of their curriculum. I am sure he would not only learn a lot by this
association but enrich the human resource and contribute to the knowledge base of
the organization.
