STUDENTS AND SOCIAL MEDIA, ADVANTAGE AND DISADVANTAGE

Assalamualaikum wr.wb.
Good morning everybody! Ladies and gentle men. The honorable, the jury and my beloved teacher
who choose me to tell you about students and social media. First of all, thank God for the blessing and thank
you for having me here in joyfull morning. I hope we are all in the good health. Do you know the
advantages and the disavantages of social media for students?
Now, social media is growing into communication appliance and can be used to learning, too. But,
the advantages and the disavantages depends on the user how to deal with it because the developement of
social media can help the user to make it easy to use.
There are many advantages using of social media, especially to find the various information that we
need for learning process and helpful for students because social media could give us convenience in many
ways. However, beside the advantages that we get, social media also have many disavantages which we
unconsciously get. Many criminal case happen because the rampant of social media. Beside that, cases of
online fraud are rife on social media. Provokative news spread and hoax news also can't be avoided again
because social media becomes means of communication that can be accessed by all of the people in the
world.
As youth generation who use social media for school, learning and finding information must use the
social media wisely. Good or bad of social media depends to ourselves. Social media also decrease direct
interaction so it could decrease the social relations. Let's be wise students in responding to technological
development.
