4 I am really very sorry to give this rating but the event was very poor. It was a cheerleading event for Ukraine, which I have nothing against, but is not what 5/2/2023 12:05 PM
YPO is about. We also spectacularly failed to take advantage of the location we were in. Nothing about Berlin history, the wall, East-West relations, the
fantastic museums, etc.. Finally, I am not sure what is the point of having Serbian, Bavarian and Ukranian food in Berlin. As a past champion of many events,
I know how much hard work goes into organizing these events, but this was badly thought out from the start, in my opinion.

1 Panels generally are low value adding opportunities as no-one prepares much or is under pressure to deliver consiistent messages. Better to focus on (short) 5/6/2023 10:13 PM
presentations.

2 1st panel: weak moderator, weak panelists, very radical and inappropriate for YPO format views presented by some of the invited guests and nobody at all to 5/3/2023 6:53 PM
present alternative and/or even structured opinion on the subject. Totally not YPO level/calibre by all means. Very disappointed. 2nd panel: strong and
stuctured moderator, panellist know their stuff and capable to present, but too many panelist and too diverse representation of sectors - as a result not easy to
follow and digest.

3 Way too many people on both panels made discussion very superficial. Nothing was learnt from the YPO panel that could not have been shared or discussed 5/2/2023 12:05 PM
during the socials. In case we have panels in the future (YPO or otherwise), please keep the numbers of members low and strive to go deep.

4 I will say the following with the utmost respect for the Ukrainian people, their courage and the immense sacrifice they are making to defend their country and 5/2/2023 10:30 AM
Europe in a certain way: your hardline on that conflict is hurting your image and weakening the support you receive. After 18 months of conflict, everybody is
guilty of atrocities. It is no longer a binary view (the good / the bad). The solution will be political and requires smart people to bring everyone around the table.

5 first panel included some good, some not so good resources. too many participants. which resulted in participants making and opening statement and some 5/1/2023 4:47 PM
remarks, but no deep discussion.
even more true for the second panel. no complaints whatsoever on the participants, these are my fellow members, but:

many participants and this output was what i usually get talking to my fellow members during the event. an education session has to deliver more than that.

wasserwerk is a cool location but too big ( and cold) for our
group, lack of cozy atmosphere. lousy acoustics. programme before dinner was good. programme during dinner was a fake show (not the music).

for subjects like this, we need to make sure (a) prominent and capable speakers are invited (not some hysteric journalists and/or junior second tier advisers to
ministers focused on making selfies in the panel), and (b) we have professional alternative views from other side of the spectrum. Everyone is against war. It
is just in an YPO setting you would expect and YPO calibre approach to it.

opportunities of authentic berlin experiences. i have never written such a detailed review. the reason is that i am seriously worried about the quality of the
events (and i know that i am not the only one. others may be reluctant to express their opinions… i am not. pls do not forget that this is ypo. which comes with
some expectations)
