The document summarizes the Thai film "Bad Genius" and discusses themes around intelligence, honesty, and cheating. It focuses on the main character Lynn, an intelligent student who helps her friends cheat despite knowing it's wrong. The document concludes by saying the screenplay could be improved by showing more consequences of cheating and whether short-term exam success is really worth it.

Bad Genius is a Thailand film released last May 3, 2017 directed by
Nattawut Poonpiriya. This film has 4 genres; Drama, Thriller, Comedy and Crime film. A type of movie that anyone can relate especially students who are is high school. My favorite character in this film is Lynn, a top secondary school student who got accepted in a prestigious school and earn a scholarship because of her achievements. Many of the student will say that Lynn is their favorite character because of her intelligence and so do I, but the reason for me is Lynn uses that intelligence not for her friend Grace and its boyfriend but also to help her father who earns a modest income as a teacher. Upon watching this film, one of the messages I conclude is that intelligence is not everything, it is all about having good attitudes and values that will lead you to success. Some may also use you because of having it, some pretend that you are their friend but in reality, they are just using you for some personal gain. Money makes the world go round; it makes people greedy like what Bank did at the end of the movie. He threatens Lynn for exposing everything if she would not agree to what Bank want. Money makes people do wrongdoings, it can change people, either clean or dirty. And lastly, honesty is really the best policy, it shows us that succeeding with wrongdoings doesn’t make us really succeed, that it is better to fail with integrity and dignity that succeed because of lies, it run after us as we grow, and conscience will chase you every day and night. Different scenes in this movie happen to every student most of the time especially during exams and also daily quizzes. Students tend to cheat in order to pass, Students often tell “tulungan, walang iwanan” and it includes cheating in class, and if you do not agree with it, some of your classmates may back stab you and tell random things such us “madamot, KJ, pabibo, and sipsip sa teacher” and for us not to get this words, students cheat. Cheating in class and being used by a so-called friend often happen us, students. If I was given a chance to write the screenplay, im going to change the ending by showing all the consequences of what everyone did. Im going to show if passing or succeeding the exam would make a difference.
