Dear Colleagues,

Committee together with Ben Saul, Jane Carmichael, Nicola
Cunningham and Usha Aravinth.
In the last months we have changed the structure of our management accounts to make them
more easily understandable and most importantly forward looking.
In addition to the financial stability we have identified two additional Non-Financial Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet BAMT objectives:
We believe that setting targets for these KPIs and measuring the results is vital to achieve our

If the proposals are adopted the changes would be effective from 1 October 2019. Existing

We would encourage all members to take part in this consultation. More details about the
consultation could be found in this page.

This year's conference looks beyond the music therapy room to the impact that music
therapy has on the lives of clients, therapists and support staff.
▪ a needs-led role change from therapist to teacher in work with a young client;
▪ severely learning disabled adolescents - hearing their feedback;
▪ how music therapy in dementia care can support staff training;
▪ self-care for music therapists, and
▪ how professional practice in learning disability health teams is on the change.
There will be 2 concurrent practical sessions, one involving improvisation and discussion,
the other considering the supervisory relationship.
