The following technical specification are mainly based on the WHO documents and follows the
general recommendations of the WHO and the vaccine manufacturers:

definitions. Further products are acceptable that meet or exceed the specifications of the devices
on the WHO pre-qualified list.

For this Procurement process specific requirements apply that are specified in the following text
and tables.

Cold chain monitor used to monitor the temperature of vaccine consignments and to warn of
excessive heat exposure during transport and storage.

Minimum technical specifications:

 Warranty for 24 months or lifetime (can be shorter)

 Control application for central view of data and alarms or alarms visible on display or
acoustic alarms.
 Multi trips
 Multi alarm profile per device (-20˚C ±3 ˚C, 5 ˚C ±3 ˚C and 20 ˚C ± 5 ˚C)
 Measurement interval 5 minutes or longer
 Accuracy ± 0.5 ˚C
 Alarm forward to mobile phone, if wireless interface available
 No service or calibration necessary once device is in use
 No pairing or manual actions required, only for USB devices
 Detailed measurement test reports must be submitted as part of the offer.
 Data sheets must be submitted as part of the offer.
 The actual temperature sensing element must be free of additional items like specific
vials.
 Sensor data needs to be directly available via the sensor interface (USB, Bluetooth) with
computer or mobile phone (android or IOS). No additional proprietary device or hub
needed to read the sensor data
 The software to read and / or record the sensor data must be included in the unit price.
 The software to configure and start and stop the sensor functions must be included in
the unit price.
