This study aims to understand the needs of every elementary pupils among private
schools in Subic, Zambales based on their sociocultural background in order to
provide quality education for all wherein it promotes a sense of inclusiveness
despite their differences in order to give learners the excitement and enthusiasm to
learn. To find out how the sociocultural factors affect the learning behaviors of
elementary pupils, this study used a quantitative method to measure how the
different sociocultural factors including family, peers, culture, ethnic group and
socials media was perceived by the 41 teacher-respondents who participated in the
study. The research findings indicates that the following sociocultural background
undoubtedly affects the learning behaviors of the elementary pupils when it comes
to their academic performance, learning difficulties, social interactions,
collaborations and relationship to other people. According to the result of the
study, there is a significant relationship between the sociocultural factors and
learning behaviors of the elementary pupils. And so, it is essential for teachers to
provide inclusive working methods despite the diversity of learners to remove
obstacles that are preventing some learners from becoming fully engage. The
student’s sociocultural background is the foundation of their capability and
teachers provide support to develop and help the pupils progress in their learning
process despite coming from diverse backgrounds.
