Have you ever considered homeschooling for your child? Nowadays many parents teach their children
at home rather than taking them to traditional school. In my opinion, it has both positive and negative
effects to youngsters.

One advantage of homeschooling is that young people can have parents as a teacher. Children have
more time with their parents, when young people have problems with subjects, they may receive some
advices from parents immediately. Another positive aspect of homeschooling is that parents can teach
their child lots of life skills such as washing dishes, cleaning floor, etc.

On the other hand, there are also negative consequences. Some youngsters have problems making
friends. When children study at home, they do not have more opportunities talking or playing with
friends as much as study at school. For instance, when children play a game with classmates, actually
they need to talk and help each other. Afterwards, they easily make friends with others at the same
ages.

In addition, youngsters hardly study some specific subjects. At home, parents can help them some
common subjects, however they can’t learn some experiments. For example, if children study Chemistry
at home, they don’t have enough substances and equipment to make the experiments like studying at
school.

In conclusion, spending time on teaching children at home instead of sending them to school can have a
positive impact on young people, but it also has many disadvantages. Personally, parents should bring
their child to school and also take more time to teach them at home.

Dear Sam,

Thanks for your letter and it was great to hear from you. You asked me to tell you about my
special place. Well, it is definitely my house. I am glad to discribe my house and explane the
reasons why it is special to me.

My house is in Phu Tho province, which is 120 kilometers from Hanoi. My house was built on a
hill, where there are many trees around it. In front of my house, it has a large lake with lots of
lotuses in there. My parents have a big farm behind the house to feed animals such as
chickens, pigs, dogs, etc. Futhermore, they plant plenty of flowers in a garden to make their
house more colourful. Therefore, it looks like a wonderful land.

One reason I love my house is because home is the most peaceful place in the world. I live in
Hanoi, which is far from my house. Therefore, I miss my parents so much especially when I
have got sick. If I feel tired because of hard working, I will comeback home to meet my parents.
Afterward, they give me more positive energy to continue my work.

On the other hand, my house is like a factory, which produce meat and vegetables for me. My
parents always bring for me plenty of products from their farm like eggs, chickens, fruits. All of
them are very fresh, clean and good for health.
