AN EXECUTIVE ORDER DESIGNATING THE BARANGAY EMPLOYMENT SERVICE

OFFICER (BESO) IN BARANGAY _________________, BAMBANG, NUEVA

VIZCAYA

Whereas, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) is an employment service

facility or entity established in all Local Government Units (LGUs) in coordination with
the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) pursuant to R.A. No. 8759 or the
PESO Act of 1999 as amended by R.A. No. 10691;

Whereas, PESO aims to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of employment facilitation
services as well as to provide timely information on labor market and DOLE Programs;

Whereas, there is a need to strengthen the PESO down to the barangay level;

Whereas, part of the process of strengthening the PESO is the designation of Barangay
Employment Service Officers who shall serve as the conduit of the Municipal PESO in
the barangays;

NOW THEREFORE, I, ____________________, Punong Barangay of Barangay

___________ , Municipality of Bambang do hereby designate
____________________as the Barangay Employment Service Officers in Barangay
___________________ with the following functions:

1. Assist in the registration of skills in the barangay;

2. Refer job applicants to PESO for possible employment;

3. Encourage employers within the barangay to submit to the PESO list of

vacancies in their establishments;

4. Coordinate and communicate with the identified beneficiaries under the Mission
RACE program, and

5. Submit timely reports to their respective PESO Municipal Managers

This order shall take effect this ________ day of July 2022.
