What is a balanced Diet?

A balanced diet consists of a variety of different types of food and


providing adequate amounts of the nutrients necessary for good
health, such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, water
and dietary fibers. A well-balanced diet provides all of the: energy you
need to keep active throughout the day. nutrients you need for growth
and repair, helping you to stay strong and healthy and help to prevent
diet-related illness,

Obesity and Heart Diseases

A disorder involving excessive body fat that increases the risk of health
problems. Obesity often results from taking in more calories than are burned
by exercise and normal daily activities. Obesity occurs when a person's body
mass index is 25 or greater. The excessive body fat increases the risk of serious
health problems. Obese individuals require more blood to supply oxygen and
nutrients to their bodies which causes an increase in blood pressure. Your
body will also require more pressure to move this blood around. High blood
pressure is also a common cause of heart attack, which are sadly more
common for obese individuals. CHD (Coronary Heart Disease)Coronary heart
disease (CHD) is usually caused by a build-up of fatty deposits on the walls of
the arteries around the heart (coronary arteries). The build-up of plaques
makes the arteries narrower, restricting the flow of blood to the heart muscle.

How to maintain a healthy body

Maintaining a healthy body depends on your age, body


and gender or any other health complications. A
teenager needs an average of 2,000 calories per day
while an adult needs 1,000 calories, however a male
needs more calories than a female but this is only the
case if there is no exercise as a part of their day. A
pregnant woman will need more calories than an
average adult.
