Indirect Questions

Formula:
Pregunta introductoria+WhQ/if/wheter oración en afirmativo
Wheter=si es el equivalente al if.
Whether=si
No vamos a utilizar Do/does/did (preguntas indirectas)
Utilizamos las siguientes preguntas o expresiones:
Do you have any idea? = Tienes alguna idea?
¡I wonder = me pregunto
Do you happen to know? = de casualidad sabes?
Do you know? Tú sabes?
Could you show me? Podrías mostrarme
Can you tell me? Puedes decirme
I would like to know = Me gustaría saber
Would you mind= te importaría
Examples:
Normal Question:
Is it going to rain tomorrow?
Indirect Question:
Can you tell me? Is it going to rain tomorrow?

Ahora tenemos que fucionar las dos partes y al hacerlo no cumple la regla de la
inversión del auxiliar con el sujeto en la 2da parte.
Can you tell me if it is going to rain tomorrow?
Was Mauro late for the move?
I wonder wheter Mauro was late for the move?
Could you tell me? + Where is the drugstore?
Could you tell me where the drugstore is?
I would like to know + could you help me?
I’d like to know wheter/if you could help me.

Exercises:
Is the library opening now? (Do you know)
Do you know if the library is opening now?
What were we doing yesterday? (do you have any idea)
Do you have any idea what we were doing yesterday?
When will we run again? (I wonder)
I wonder when we will run again?

Examples:
Could you tell us Do you know this person?

Could you tell us if you know this person?


Do you happen to know Where does she work?

Can you remember How did we do it?
Can you remember how we did it? How=cómo
Would you mind telling me Why are you coming?
Would you mind telling me why you aren´t coming?
Announce= anunciar
Trip=viaje
