SUBJECT : Spot Report re: Mauling, Hacking, and Stabbing

Incident

2. On or about 10:20 o’clock in the evening May 14, 2019, at Purok 1-C, Acosta
Compound, Barangay Apokon, Tagum City , Davao del Norte, one Ida Marriel
Abkilan of legal age and resident of the said places was mauled then hacked
but missed by his live-in partner Jaris Gabriel Amper, 25 years old, also a
resident of the said place with the use of a bolo

3. Initial investigation disclosed that the suspect while under the influence of
intoxicating liquor, arrived home and with no apparent provocation mauled
then hacked the victim but missed. Then and there, victim ran towards the
nearby house of his relative identified as MJ James Yunson and asked for
assistance and subsequently reported the incident to Tagum Police Station.
Suspect went to the house of MJ James Yunson which resulted to a heated
argument between suspect and the daughter of MJ James Yunson identified
as Juna Yunson. During their heated altercation, suspect punched then hacked
Juna Yunson hitting on the right Hand resulting Juna Yunson stumbling on the
ground unconsciously. MJ James Yunson, who saw the incident, took a bladed
weapon and stabbed Jaris Gabriel Amper several times. Juna Yunson and
Jaris Gabriel Amper were brought by the responding PNP Team to Davao
Regional Medical Center for medical treatment while MJ James Yunson was
arrested and subsequently detained at Tagum City Police Station detention cell
pending filling of appropriate charges in court.
