Orientation day plan

Level: Kindergarten Teacher: Rinalyn Rivera

Objective: 1. to orient pupils with their new environment

Materials :
1. Manipulatives
2. Worksheets
3. Question cards
4. Pocket chart

Procedure and Activities

 Meet the teacher activity.

1. Self introduction through pictures and stories allowing my pupils to bond with me
as their kindergarten teacher.
2. Game (all about my teacher)
 Getting to know my pupils using the ‘questions of the day’ cards.
1. Let each pupil pick a question card and let them answer the question they get.
2. Put the question card in the pocket chart and ask another pupil to answer it.
 Group activity
 Introducing them to group activity on the first day of school will give them the
idea of a team work.
1. Cup stacking games for higher level kids (K3)
2. For lower levels , some manipulatives like Popsicle sticks and other counters that
they can work on together as a pair or group.
