Codes
BY CALLUM WILLIAMS, ANGIE HARVEY, +2 MORE
Looking for every hidden door code in System Shock? You've come to the right place.
Below we'll list all of the code locations you'll need to progress through Citadel
Station.
These codes are usually found through reading documents, solving puzzles or other
problem-solving situations, with The Hacker needing to punch them in to crack open
locked doors and continue his adventure. Every code is randomized , so we'll list how
to discover the codes in the entries below.
Open the vent, head inside and you'll find a message on the desk. Upon reading the
message, you'll discover the door code. Punch it in to unlock the door.
After listening to the audio log, you'll discover the code. Return to the door and punch it
in to access the armoury. Inside, you'll find a vending machine where you can buy an
ammo capacity upgrade for your pistol, as well as a bunch of useful loot.
The Storage 9 keypad is found near the Regeneration Station in the Central Hub of
Storage. The code is revealed via two audio logs titled Enviro-Packs and Stashed
Packs, which are found in the Storage 6 and Storage 2 areas.
Memorise that code and punch it into the Safety Override console in Reactor. This is
essential to the story, helping The Hacker take down the Mining Laser.
Safety Override Code (Reactor)
Located in the study on the right-hand side of the Beta Quadrant. First, players need to
head to the area the cursor is pointing at in the map above.
Here, they'll find a series of screens just down the corridor from the blue elevator on the
map. These screens will flash with secret codes. Take note of every combination that
appears, then head to the area marked on the map below.
When you arrive, you'll find a keypad. Type in each of the number combinations until one
successfully opens the door.
The Relay Analyser keypad is found in the lab in Maintenance, two doors down from the
elevator leading to Executive. You can use it when fixing the Relay after unlocking the
groves in Executive. You'll find the code in the Repair Bay by using the diagnostics
machine. It's 428 .
To get the full code, we'll need to input the code numbers found in Medical, Research,
Maintenance, Storage, Flight Deck and Executive. Our walkthroughs will show you the
locations of these CPUs, so head back through each area if you're still missing one or
two. If you're missing the Maintenance CPU, note that we've listed how to destroy it in
the Executive walkthrough, as you'll only be able to complete it after unlocking the
Grove Maintenance areas.
In my run, the Medical digit was 5, the Research digit was 7, the Maintenance digit was
6, the Storage code was 4, the Flight Deck code was 2 and the Executive code was 9.
That means the final code was 576429. When you have that code, head to the Reactor
and make your way to the core. That's the heavily irradiated area in the centre of the
map, just down the path from where the Safety Override terminal was. The map
location is marked by the cursor in the image above. Make sure you activate your
Environmental Protection Suit before entering to give yourself the best chance of
survival.
When you arrive, the Gravity Lift leading to the centre of Reactor is locked off. You'll
need to pull a handle accessible from the upper walkway overlooking the area to unlock
it. The lever's location is shown on the map above.
Pull the handle and then make your way around to the centre of the core. Get in the
Gravity Lift, activate it and then you'll rise up to a keypad with a screen to the right of
it. Punch in your unique CPU code and, if it's correct, the screen will glow green. This
will trigger the self-destruct sequence.

So I think the author of this guide doesn't understand the codes are different for everybody.
It's still helpful to find how/where to get them but everybody will get codes that are unique
to them. I think 451 is the only "universal" one.
EDIT: Looks like the guide has been updated to include this ti...

Would have been heresy if they had changed THAT code
