Places of Interest in Malaysia

A - PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS, KUALA LUMPUR


Standing at 451.9m, the world-renowmed Petronas Twin Towers is currently the world's
tallest twin structure and fifth tallest building. The skybridge that links the two towers
symbolizes a gateway to the future.
B - PORTA DE SANTIAGO, MELAKA
It is one of Melaka's most famous landmarks. It is one of the four main entrances to the
A’Famosa fortress, which was built in 1511 by Alfonso d’Albuquerque, a Portuguese
admiral. Even though the rest of the fortress was badly damaged during the Dutch invasion
in 1641, its iconic gateway still stands to this day.
C - GUNUNG LEDANG NATIONAL PARK, JOHOR
Gunung Ledang is known as much for its captivating natural beauty as the legend
surrounding it. The trail up the mountain is a spectacular experience as cascading waterfalls,
flowing streams and variety of flora and fauna species greet the eye. On a clear day, stunning
views of the Straits of Malacca and its surroundings can be seen from the top.
D - ZOO TAIPING & NIGHT SAFARI, PERAK
Home to some 180 local and exotic wildlife species, Zoo Taiping is the country's first zoo.
Join the Night Safari for a ride on the mini train around the zoo and catch some of the zoo's
nocturnal inhabitants in action.
E- PENANG HILL
One of Penang's main icons, Penang Hill is a popular retreat for those who escape the city's
blistering heat. Also known as Bukit Bendera or Flagstaf Hill, Penang Hill soars 833m above
sea level. A brand-new funicular train service takes visitors to the summit in less than half
an hour, where a spectacular panoramic view of Georgetown and its surrounding awaits at
the viewing deck.

F - GELANGGANG SENI, KELANTAN


Known as the centre of Kelantan's folk art, Gelanggang Seni is a place where you can try
your hand at traditional games or musical instruments, or catch traditional cultural
performances unique to the state such as Wayang Kulit (shadow puppetry) and Mak Yong
(traditional musical drama).
