Modi Page Lof2 using Interquartile Range (IQR) Method. This modified class average or MCA will be used in this scheme as itis a better measure of central tendency. Each grade will be spread over 5% points (except extreme grades F and A+) with MCA providing a reference point, Examples are given in Table-1 below. Standard deviation will not he used in this scheme, as distribution of masks is almost never normal (bell-shaped). 50% marks in any course will guarantee a passing grade. 90% marks in any course will guarantee an A grade. Passing a student with less than 30% marks or awarding an A grade below 65% marks \will require approval from the HOD. Courses where class average (after remaving outliers) is below 40% or above 75% will be reviewed by HOD for possible improvements, Modified Class Average (MCA) will be rounded to the nearest integer. This integer will be the middle point of the grade given on MCA. Table-| lists the starting points for various grades for different MCAs, Starting score for grade on MCA is highlighted. Alf grades are at intervals of % points, except where clauses (v) or (vi) apply a5 Table-1: Examples S.
