1. Subject
During the TSC 2003/2004 we have presented an overview of the different available retrofit kits.
Today a few things are updated resulting in next actual status.
Industrial Air division (AII) has released three kits for A, B and C controller.
Oil free Air division (AIF) has released one kit for D controller. This means for ZT37VSD you’ll have
to use the AIF kit.

Below you can find a new overview.

The different installation guides in English will be published on the AII service website >> Technical
information >> ASC binders Industrial Air Division >> Common Documents . If necessary you can
translate them in your local language.

The price is specially kept low to promote conversion of Mk3 units to Mk4 for integration in
compressor (CAN) networks. In generally a retrofit is more economical feasible then installing a
COMbox.

* Note:

• Unfortunately, for GA90 VSD with serial nr < AII 492000 (SIMOVERT P) today there is no
retrofit possible because of the RS232 interface between Mk3 and the converter. (Mk4
uses RS485)
Our marketing and engineering are aware of this situation and are looking for a solution.

• For water cooled versions or if energy recovery installed, order extra expansion module
AIE1 1900 0710 41 together with one of next cables:

1622 0661 01 Communication cable 600 mm

Or 1622 0661 02 Communication cable 150 mm

Do not use the MK3 communication cables !!! The execution of the cables is not identical.
The cables shall be disposed of.
