InTouch Capital Markets Career Opportunity: US G10 FI/Rates Analyst

The Opportunity

We are looking for a junior or mid level rates/FI analyst for our InTouch Fixed Income service to help cover the
US time zone and markets within our global team, providing intraday information, commentary and analysis
on all aspects of the US and G10 rates markets. You will be joining a truly first-rate team with backgrounds as
traders and strategists for Tier-1 institutions including Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Credit Agricole, Morgan Stanley,
Lehman Brothers and more.

This is an ideal opportunity if you have a strong interest in FI/rates markets and perhaps some experience and
are looking to continue building a career working in the financial markets. In particular, we focus on following,
analyzing and writing about markets on a minute by minute basis so an intraday mentality is a must. Work

Our InTouch Fixed Income Service

The service provides real-time intraday written market analysis, commentary and information on all market
drivers in G10 FI and rates markets from the short end to long end, including cash, swaps, futures and options.
We are focused on short term intraday moves, putting them into context of wider market themes and
delivered in a concise, digestible format. Speed and accuracy is key for our clients and is at the center of our
offering.

Candidates We Are Looking For & More about the Role

We are looking for sharp, intelligent, hungry candidates with either (a) some experience in the US and G10
rates markets as a trader, analyst or strategist for a mid-level position or (b) no direct experience but
demonstrable strong interest and knowledge of the rates and macro markets for a more junior role. A strong
desire to learn and ability to talk and write quickly and fluently about are essential.

The successful applicant will work closely in particular with our US and Canada based team of analysts but also
the wider global teams across Singapore and London. Our US team is based in New York but we will consider
candidates from other locations in the timezone for a remote position.

The role is to provide a quick, filtered view for our clients on drivers and information about the rates markets.
This requires a high energy, intense individual and is primarily focused on analyzing and commenting on short-
term market moves in a very time sensitive and reactive manner. This will primarily involve writing short
pieces - a sentence through to a couple of paragraphs - very quickly for our clients for whom a few seconds
can make all the difference.

Key day-to-day tasks include following markets, monitoring multiple sources of information (newswires, data,
TV), leveraging your contact base to gather further insights, writing primarily short and time sensitive content
pieces and some bigger picture, slightly longer content pieces. Topics we most frequently analyse and
comment on include trading flows, issuance, economic data, news flow, geopolitical events and central bank
action.

Required Experience and Hard Skills

• 2+ years experience as an rates/FI trader, strategist or analyst preferred but not essential
• 1-2yrs prior experience using the Bloomberg terminal preferred but not essential
• Strong computer literacy incl Bloomberg and Microsoft Office (Excel at least intermediate standard)
• Fluent English to first language standard
• Good, fast writing skills – must be able to quickly write short, quality market commentary with emphasis
on quick, reactive intraday pieces. Experience writing updates, recaps, strategy pieces preferred

• Working knowledge and interest in the fundamentals and drivers of the rates markets and
macroeconomy
• Strong desire to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
• Energetic, enthusiastic, focused
• Works well in a team with strong communication skills
• Self driven and motivated – our teams have management oversight but will not be micro-managed
• Composed and quick working under time pressure: when markets are moving, we need to react quickly
