Installation:

Set the printer in the Production Settings Factory after the firmware installation, (or if done
later on, printer has to be shut down to validate the setting modification).

Note 1: this selection case allows the operator to use the promotion coding in stand-alone mode. If
not activated, the promotion coding can be used in V24 mode.

Note 2: when this feature is activated, the non-double printing option is automatically activated as
well. (Could be de-activated in case of regular print job)

Message creation
Create a message in order to use the feature “Unique coding standalone” following
instruction here below:
Same name has to be used for the job/message and data files:
Message name = file name.X (For eg: BOND.mim = Bond.1)

On the user interface, a new icon allows the operator to insert a unique variable code. The max
length is 20 characters and only one unique code can be inserted in the message.

Note: when creating a message, set
each parameter (tacho div, print head
sense,). Each time a message is
modified, it is reloaded in production
and the printer considers it as new.
Thus, all data previously stored into
the queue are erased.

Running method
1. Plug the USB key in the printer.
2. Once the USB key is connected, a logo appears on the display screen and the message can
be selected to be in production.

3. The printer automatically stores data into the queue and these data are pulled one at a time
like a FIFO at each Dtop signal.
4. Once the file is completed, the file is deleted and a new one will be used to transfer data in
the queue.

Note: printer adds data into the queue every 5sec.

If the printer is put in pause mode, data are saved and are still in the queue.
If the printer is stopped (still on the main), data are saved and are still in the queue.
This is printing correctly with trigger from trig sensor and not with Test print.

Fault and Warning

If there is no USB key plugged, a pop-up will be displayed on the screen.

Once the last file from the media is stored into the queue and deleted from the key, a pop-up box
informs that there is no more file in the media. It is then necessary to add files in a new media.

The 1St line called “ExtVar21” is case sensitive. It is necessary to respect each character case.

Restrictions and limitation

1. In case the printer is switched off from the mains, data are lost from the queue. Only data
remaining into the USB key are saved.
2. In case the operator changes the message in production or modifies the existing message,
data are lost from the queue. Only data remaining in the USB key are saved.
3. The unique code must be in ASCII character from 20h to 7Fh.
