INTRODUCTION
India.gov.in is the Indian government’s web portal for
citizens. It presents information resources and online
services from government sources, accessible from a single
point. It is also known as the National Portal of India.

The portal has been developed as a Mission Mode Project


under the National E-Governance Plan of the government.
The objective is to provide a single window access to the
information and services such as passport, driving licenses,
company registration etc. being provided by the Indian
government for the citizens and other stakeholders.
EDUCATION
The government of India has launched several public utility portals to
facilitate access to education and learning resources for citizens. Some of
these portals include:

👉 1. SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring


Minds): SWAYAM is an online platform that provides free access to hundreds
of courses from top Indian universities and institutes. It offers courses in
various disciplines such as engineering, humanities, science, and
management.

👉 2. National Digital Library of India (NDLI): NDLI is a digital library


that provides access to millions of books, journals, and other learning
resources in multiple languages. It is an initiative of the Ministry of
Education, Government of India.
👉 3. e-PG Pathshala: e-PG Pathshala is an online platform that5
offers postgraduate-level courses and learning resources in various
disciplines such as social sciences, arts, and applied sciences.

👉 4. e-Yantra: e-Yantra is an initiative of the Ministry of Education,


Government of India, aimed at promoting robotics education in
India. It provides educational tools, resources, and training to
teachers and students to help them learn about robotics.

👉 5. National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning


(NPTEL): NPTEL is an online platform that offers open online
courses in engineering, science, and management from top Indian
universities and institutes.Overall, these public utility portals of the
government of India have made education more accessible and
affordable for citizens, especially those who may not have the
resources to pursue formal education.

The Government of India has also launched several public utility portals to
facilitate access to financial services and resources for citizens. Some of these
portals include:

👉 1. Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT): DBT is a platform that enables the


transfer of government subsidies and benefits directly to beneficiaries' bank
accounts. It eliminates the need for intermediaries and ensures that the
benefits reach the intended beneficiaries.

👉 2. National Pension System (NPS): NPS is a voluntary pension scheme


that provides retirement benefits to citizens. It is managed by the Pension
Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) and offers various
investment options to suit the needs of different investors.

👉 3. National Financial Inclusion Mission (NFIM): NFIM is a financial
inclusion program launched by the Government of India to promote access
to financial services for all. It aims to provide banking services to the
unbanked population, especially in rural areas.

👉 4. e-NAM: e-NAM is an online trading platform for agricultural


commodities that enables farmers to sell their produce directly to buyers. It
aims to eliminate intermediaries and provide better prices to farmers.

👉 5. Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN): GSTN is a platform that


facilitates the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in
India. It provides a common portal for taxpayers to register, file returns, and
make payments.Overall, these public utility portals of the Government of
India have made financial services more accessible and transparent for
citizens, especially those who may not have had access to formal banking
channels in the past.

•According To Health And Health Systems Ranking Of Countries Worldwide In 2021,
By Health Index Score India Was Ranked 111 Out Of 167 Countries.
•Monitoring Patients Needs And Expectations It Is Necessary To Build An Efficient
And Effective Healthcare System Using Digital Technologies.
•Digitalized Healthcare Enables Quick Access To Doctors And Healthcare Services.

NATIONAL HEALTH PORTAL


•Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare (MOHFW) Has Launched A "National
Health Portal"(Http://Nhp.Gov.In) On 14th November, 2014.To Provide Healthcare
Information To The Citizens Of The Country.
•This portal will serve as a single point of access for consolidated and authentic
information and resources on the health sector to a wide spectrum of users such as
academicians, citizens, students, healthcare professionals and researchers.
OBJECTIVE
The objective of setting up of National Health Portal is to serve as a single point of

access for consolidated authentic health information, application and resources with
the aim to cater to a wide spectrum of users such as academicians, citizens, students,
healthcare professionals, researchers etc.

MISSION
The mission of National Health Portal is also to achieve the above vision by collecting,
verifying and disseminating information on health literacy and healthcare delivery
services related information for all citizens of India.

BENEFITS
Users can get detailed information pertaining to health related issues. -You can find
Information related to diseases, health services, tips for healthy living, health
programmes, insurance schemes, health apps and widgets. -Users can also get helpline
numbers, blood banks details, etc.

DRAWBACKS
It include Alienation. -No knowledge of the healthcare system. -Patient may not have
access to computers or technology.- Many patients are delayed the health care services
due to long waits. -Both social and financial inequality results in barriers of access to
healthcare services in India.
INCOME TAX FILING

The Government of India has launched several public utility portals to make
income tax-related activities easier for citizens. Some of these portals include:

👉 1. Income Tax e-Filing Portal: The Income Tax department provides an


online portal for taxpayers to file their income tax returns (ITR) electronically,
without the need for any physical submission. The portal also allows taxpayers
to view their tax credit statements (Form 26AS), track the status of their
refunds, and respond to any notices issued by the department.

👉 2. TDS Reconciliation Analysis and Correction Enabling System


(TRACES): It is a web-based application for taxpayers and deductors to view
and download Form 16/16A, TDS/TCS credit, and TDS defaults. TRACES also
enables taxpayers to raise grievances relating to TDS/TCS credits.

👉 3. Tax Information Network (TIN): TIN is an initiative by the Income Tax


Department, which aims to modernize the collection, processing, and
accounting of direct taxes using information technology.

👉 4. e-Verification of ITR: The Income Tax department has introduced


electronic verification of tax returns to make the process easier and faster.
Taxpayers can now e-verify their ITR using an Aadhaar OTP, net banking, or by
generating an Electronic Verification Code (EVC).

👉 5. Compliance Management Centralized Processing Center (CMCPC):


The CMCPC is a centralized processing center for the Income Tax department's
compliance management system. The portal enables taxpayers to respond to
any demand notices, rectification orders, or other proceedings.Overall, these
public utility portals of the Government of India related to income tax have
made the process of tax filing and compliance management easier, faster, and
more transparent for taxpayers, thereby promoting voluntary compliance with
the tax laws of the country.

RIGHT TO INFORMATION

MEANING
Right to Information Act 2005 mandates timely response
to citizen requests for government information.

OBJECTIVE
The basic object of the Right to Information Act is to
empower the citizens,promote transparency and
accountability in the working of the Government,contain
corruption, and make our democracy work for the people
in real sense.
