Prayer to the Holy Spirit

(by: St. Augustine)

In the name of the Father, and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my

thoughts may all be holy. Act in me, O Holy
Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Draw
my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what
is holy. Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to
defend all that is holy. Guard me, then, O
Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.
Amen.

St. Augustine, pray for us.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son,

and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

WHAT IS SALVATION HISTORY?

It is the story of human beings and their world

seen as a drama of redemption.
It runs from Creation to the Parousia and
finding its center in Christ.

Genie U. Pedrosa
REEDCG2C0
In the Old Testament
God revealed His plan to
the Chosen people.

And this plan was definitely

fulfilled with the coming of
Christ in the fullness of time.
(New Testament)

In Christ - all God’s

promises and plans
were fulfilled.
Genie U. Pedrosa
REEDCG2C0
WHAT IS THE
MEANING OF THE
“FALL OF MAN”?

 In the beginning man’s

relationship with God
was harmonious. But
man sinned and
continued to sin. This
resulted to his
estrangement with God,
from other people, and
from his very own self.

Genie U. Pedrosa
REEDCG2C0
We find this in the
stories of Adam and
Eve, Cain and Abel,
Noah and the Ark.

Genie U. Pedrosa
REEDCG2C0
GOD’S PLAN OF
SALVATION
To save man, God
initiated a long-range
plan of salvation by
promising a Savior for
mankind. But God did
not send immediately
this Savior. He chose a
nation where this
Savior would be born.
He also chose persons
who will transmit this
belief in One God.
