4.3 Minimum Connecting Time (HEDM)


 A minimum connection time (MCT) is the minimum time needed for passengers and baggage to

1. The international connection: between 2 international flights.
2. The domestic connection: between 2 domestic flights.
3. The international to domestic: between an arriving international flight and a departing domestic
flight.

5. Passenger Name Record (HE PNR/HE STEP)


 A PNR contains the details of a passenger's reservation, and other information related to a
passenger's trip.
 Each PNR consists of a collection of information items called "element".
 A PNR must contain FIVE MANDATORY ELEMENTS as per follows:
1. Itinerary element
 Booking for a flight (air segment) or other service (car/hotel/cruise).
2. Name element
 Passenger name (according to passport).
3. Contact number element
 Agency contact number, passenger or any contact person number.
4. Ticketing arrangement element
 An indication of ticketing deadline for issuing of tickets.
5. Received from element and end of transaction
 The name/initial of the person who has made the booking and ending the transaction

5.1.3 Arrival Unknown/ARUNK


 The ARNK segment indicates that it is not known how the passenger proceeds from the arrival
city of the previous segment to the departure city of the next segment.
 Example - surface segment, waitlist few segment on the same city pair.
 The system automatically places the ARNK between the non-sequential segments.
 If ARNK is NOT insert, you will receive a warning response at EOT:

You can force the entry to accept by EOT twice.

5.2 Name Element


5.2.1 Name Creation
 The name element must follow passenger's passport.
 Maximum characters for a name in a ticket is 29 characters (include slash, bracket, CHD/INF
codes, title) even though Amadeus can load up 57 characters.
 Names are sorted in alphabetical order.
 The number of names must equal to the seats booked (not including infants as they do not
require seats).

The difference between Name Change and Name Update :

 Name Change : Will delete all SSR/OSI element automatically


 Name Update : Will keep all the SSR/OSI element in the PNR

b. After EOT
 You must obtain authority from all airlines in the PNR before changing the name;
 Some airlines restrict agent to change name. In this case, you will need to call Amadeus
 Helpdesk for assistance. However, not all airlines allow names change by Amadeus Helpdesk.
 It is always advisable to make a new booking if there are seats available.

Contoh kasus untuk melakukan perubahan nama (name change) sebelum EOT
Apabila anda sudah meng-input nama penumpang, ternyata salah, dan ingin merubah/mengganti
nama penumpang/pax dapat dilakukan sebelum end of transaction (EOT). Nama dapat diganti
seluruhnya.

Apabila anda sudah mengambil seat (SS-seat selling) dari availability (AN) dan ingin merubah jumlah seat
yang diambil tanpa perlu AN lagi, dapat menggunakan entry : ''segment no. / jumlah seat yang diinginkan''
Contoh Kasus :
Seat yang sudah diambil berjumlah 1 , padahal jumlah pax adalah 2 orang.
Gunakan entry 3/2 , yaitu : 3 adalah segment itinerary no.3 (atau line no.3)
/2 adalah merubah jumlah seat menjadi 2

Maka jumlah seat itinerary yang diambil akan berubah menjadi 2 seat seperti tampilan dibawah ini

5.6 End of Transaction (HEET)


 This is the last mandatory entry for creating a new PNR or modifying a retrieved PNR.
 When you make this entry, the system does the following:
a. CHECK
- To ensure all mandatory elements are present and correct.
- You must correct the mistake before EOT again.
- However, you can override the following warning messages by doing EOT twice:
i. CHECK MINIMUM CONNECTING TIME
ii. CHECK SEGMENT CONTINUITY
iii. CHECK ITINERARY STATUS CODE
iv. CHECK OSI/SSR STATUS CODE
b. SAVE/STORE
- This will enable you to retrieve the PNR later.
- For a newly created PNR, system will return a Amadeus record locator/PNR reference (RLOC)
and airlines RLOC.
c. SEND
- Send the messages to the airlines.

 Married segment allows airlines to control inventory on their flights segment by combining 2 or
more segments in the sell request and process them as one unit.

12. Frequent Flyer Element (HEFF)


 Many airlines offer frequent flyer programs to passengers who travel often on their airlines.
 These programs vary from airline to airline, each offering special features to their frequent flyer
customers such as priority waitlist, redemption on air tickets and etc.
 Each frequent flyer is assigned an individual identification number. This identification number
must be entered into the PNR in order to be recorded in the frequent flyer's account.

• This allows you to set up special security rules to authorize another travel agency (ticketing
agent) to access your PNR.
• The ticketing agent may retrieve the PNR using RLOC.
