Adjustment Instructions Hand wheel Function The weaving machine is equipped with a hand wheel. ‘A sensor monitors whether the latter is in weaving operation position, and only then can the WM be operated via the control buttons. Using the hand wheel, the WM can be turned forwards manually to observe motion sequences or to position the WM in a specific position. It is also possible to use the hand wheel to reverse the weaving machine, In this case you must make sure that if the WM is running a fabric, the rapiers do not run into the closed shed Manual operation For manual operation, the weaving machine must be switched on In manual operation the hand brake A released. This means that the weaving machine could suddenly run forwards or in reverse owing to irregular shed conditions. Before using the hand wheel, you should therefore warn anyone working on the weaving machine crits sub-units. Pull out hand wheel 2, then pull it up and engage. The current angle value appears on the weaving machine terminal, Tum the weaving machine into the desired position using the hand wheel Pullout hand wheel 2, push it downwards and engage. ‘Swing handle 3 into idle position If you suspect that the weaving machine has moved while you were engaging the hand wheel, you can check the current angle value at the weaving machine terminal in function ‘Current angle WM angle" 6200 © 20.11.96 135.1R Page 1 SULZERTEX7/L. 12 G 6200____ Adjusting the sensor In the weaving operation position, clearance a between sensor and the ball bearing on the hand wheel must be 0.7 mm, Hand wheel 2 and plate 4 must be dismantled for the adjustment operation Removal Tum main switch inte Q position and secure with your personal padiock to prevent it being switched on, Block hand wheel 2 ty hand and undo screw 5, Remove washer 6 and pressure spring 7. Withdraw hand whee! 2, Undo screws 8 and pull plate 4 out until the connec- tor plug can be pulled off the sensor. Remove plate 4 from the weaving machine together with the sensor. Adjustment Outside the weaving machine, press ball bearing 9 onto the handwheel to simulate the weaving opera- tion position with respect to sensor 11. Set clearance a at 0.7 mm by slackening one lock nut 12 and tightening the other Assemble in reverse sequence. 6200 © 20.11.96
