The two-day DANUBEPARKS Newt Conservation Partnership & Climate Change conference was held in the Republic of Moldova and online to discuss newt conservation efforts along the Danube River in light of climate change. The agenda included opening speeches, presentations on newt conservation status and actions in different Danube countries, sessions to develop a joint conservation project concept note and funding opportunities, and a field trip to the Lower Prut Nature Reserve on the second day. The conference aimed to strengthen collaboration between parks along the Danube River to protect newts from the threats of climate change.
