NEET 2023 Tie-Breaking Criteria for BAMS

During the process of calculating NEET cutoff for BAMS, it is possible for
multiple students to achieve identical marks. To ensure fairness in such
situations, a standard tie-breaking criterion for BAMS has been established
for NEET 2023. The criterion is outlined below:

1. Biology Marks: Students who obtain higher marks in the biology

section of the exam will be ranked more favorably.
2. Chemistry Marks: If the above criterion does not resolve the tie,
preference will be given to candidates with higher scores in chemistry.
3. Total Incorrect Answers: If the tie persists, the applicant with the
fewest incorrect answers will be given preference over those with a
higher number of errors.
4. Age: If the tie still remains, priority will be given to the older applicant.

Factors Determining NEET 2023 Cutoff for

BAMS
The NEET cutoff for BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) is
subject to change every year. To comprehend the reasons behind the
fluctuating cutoff scores, students should consider the following key factors
that impact the NEET cutoff for BAMS:

1. Number of exam takers: The total number of students appearing for

the Medical Entrance Exam plays a significant role in determining the
cutoff. Higher competition due to a larger pool of applicants can lead to
a higher cutoff score.
2. Difficulty level of the exam: The level of difficulty of the NEET exam
for BAMS affects the cutoff. If the exam is more challenging, the cutoff
score may be lower, and vice versa.
3. Seat availability criteria: The criteria for seat accessibility in NEET,
including the reservation policies and quota systems, can influence the
cutoff score for BAMS. Different categories and reservation
percentages may impact the cutoff.
4. Availability of vacant seats: The number of vacant seats made
available for BAMS courses is another factor affecting the cutoff. The
cutoff may be adjusted based on the number of seats remaining after
initial admissions.

By considering these factors, aspiring BAMS students can gain a better

understanding of the variables that determine the NEET 2023 cutoff for
BAMS courses.

Scope in BAMS
With a sudden rise in critical health illnesses and the acute limitations of
Allopathic treatment, Ayurveda has significantly evolved as an alternative.
This is a major reason that BAMS is gaining popularity as a medical course
all over the world. Ayurveda is being increasingly opted by people all over
the world due to its insignificant number of side effects. People suffering
from critical diseases are also seeking help in this ancient Indian art of
healing which is opening opportunities for BAMS doctors. BAMS graduates
can either opt for clinical practice or may pursue higher studies to specialise
in a particular field of Ayurvedic Sciences. A BAMS Doctor can also take up
practice after completing higher education in the respective discipline, e.g.,
Skin Issues, spinal disorders, ophthalmology, anorectal illnesses, etc.
Career Prospects After BAMS
Once students complete the BAMS course, there are ample career
opportunities to excel. BAMS graduates can opt for jobs in both government
and private sectors. They can also work at research institutes after BAMS.
They may even become an independent practitioner at their own clinics.
Some of the other job opportunities after BAMS include:

• Ayurvedic Doctor

• Medical Representative

• Ayurveda Specialists

• Ayurveda Researcher

• Ayurveda Pharmacist
