distribution boxes in commercial, residential, or industrial buildings. It covers the process
from mounting the panels to connecting and terminating the electrical circuits.
3.0 EQUIPMENT/ MATERIALS:
The following equipment and materials will be required:
Electric panels and distribution boxes
Mounting brackets or hardware
Circuit breakers or fuses
Copper busbars or terminals
Cable glands or conduits
Wiring cables
Wire connectors
Screwdrivers, pliers, and other hand tools
Voltage tester or multimeter
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes

Ensure that all electrical power is switched off before beginning any work.
Follow proper lockout/ tagout procedures to isolate electrical power.
Handle and work with electrical panels and distribution boxes with caution, avoiding
contact with live components.
Follow local electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance and safety.
6.0 PROCEDURE:
Review the electrical plans and layout to determine the location and type of electric
panels and distribution boxes required.
Ensure that power to the installation area is turned off at the main electrical panel.
Inspect the work area for any potential hazards or obstructions and address them
accordingly.
Gather all necessary materials and equipment required for the installation.
Step 2: Mounting and Wiring
Select the appropriate location for each electric panel and distribution box as per the
electrical plans.
Install mounting brackets or hardware securely, following manufacturer instructions
and ensuring proper alignment.
Run the necessary conduits or cable glands to bring the electrical supply and outgoing
cables into the panel or distribution box.
Connect the wiring cables to the appropriate terminals or busbars inside the panel or
distribution box, following color-coded or labeled markings.
Use wire connectors to secure and insulate all connections.
Verify the electrical connections with a voltage tester or multimeter to ensure there
is no current flow.
Step 3: Circuit Breaker or Fuse Installation
Install circuit breakers or fuses according to the electrical plans and load requirements.
Ensure that the circuit breakers or fuses are suitable for the intended electrical load
and provide proper protection.
Properly position and secure each circuit breaker or fuse in its designated location
within the panel or distribution box.
Label and identify each circuit breaker or fuse clearly for easy identification and
maintenance.
