    CASE STUDY REPORT

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    1. This is a GROUP PROJECT. The project must be done in a group of FOUR (4) students.

    2. Each group is required to identify and select a real and existing organization for the group
    project based on the list of businesses or industries below:

    2.1 Banking or Finance


    2.2 Education
    2.3 Network and Telecommunication
    2.4 Utility
    2.5 Manufacturing
    2.6 Malls, Supermarkets or Retails
    2.7 Healthcare or Medical
    2.8 Hospitality or Tourism
    2.9 Government Agency
    2.10 Computer and Information Technology
    2.11 Constructions
    2.12 Real Estate
    2.13 Transportations
    2.14 Entertainment
    2.15 Pharmaceutical
    2.16 Agriculture
    2.17 Beauty and Fashion

    3. Students are required to write a case study report related to information security issues in
    the company from the selected industry.

    4. Students must visit the company and interview the key informants of the company that
    can provide the input for reporting the indicated case study topic. (Please ensure that the
    students get the approval from the company for the interview).

    5. Students are required to prepare a real CASE STUDY REPORT and the content of the report
    should contain the following:

    5.1 A brief information about the company (Company background and profiles)
    5.2 Risk management practice
    5.3 Information security issue and solution made by the company
    5.4 Discussion and conclusion
    5.5 References
    5.6 Appendixes
    5.6.1 Company Approval Letter
    5.6.2 Interview Questions
    5.6.3 Photo (Any evidence of the company visit and activities)
    6. Submission date : WEEK 17 (Before 11:59 PM) 30 JANUARY 2023

    Late submission will not be entertained and shall affect your grades!

    PROJECT TOTAL MARKS = 100%

    GROUP PROJECT REPORT GUIDELINES (80%)

    Please follow these guidelines when writing a CASE STUDY REPORT for the project:

    a) Format: Arial 11, spacing: 1.5 cm and at least 10 pages (excluding cover page, ToC,
    acknowledgements and appendices).

    b) Arrangement of CASE STUDY report is as follows:

    ● Preliminary Materials

    i. Cover page (Please also state your Case Study Title)


    ii. Table of Contents
    iii. Acknowledgements
    ● Body of Report (10 pages only)

    i. Introduction (2 pages)
    ii. Organization’s background – Corporate background and profiles.
    iii. Content (6 pages)
    ▪ This is based on the topic that the students proposed. However, the content
    should cover the risk management practices, information security issues and
    solutions that the company employed to get rid of the issues. - Refer to instruction
    no (5)
    iv. Discussion (1 page)
    v. Conclusion (1 page)
    vi. References (APA 7th style)
    ● Appendices

    i. Relevant Documents - Refer instruction no (5.6).

    PROJECT PRESENTATION (20%)

    a) Students are required to present their case study report on WEEK 16 during class session.

    b) Presentation format:

    i. NOT MORE than 10 slides


    ii. Infographic style
    iii. You are given only 15 Minutes for the presentation

    **Notes: Case study report and slide presentation need to be uploaded in the UFUTURE (pdf
    format only).
