The teacher provides a bulleted list (on chart paper/PPT?) describing the following:
a) Introduce Anchor (2-3 minutes) and connect to lesson 7-10 minutes
b) Describe the student learning activity and expectations of students’ 2-3 minutes
Time to practise: (15 – 30 minutes)
As students engage in the learning activity (independently, in Cooperative Learning
Groups or as a whole
class), the teacher:
a) Circulates, listens, observes, provides feedback and suggestions and makes notes in
Observation of Student Learning Journal
b) If necessary, teacher brings students back together to revisit/reteach key concept(s)
and to clear up misunderstandings or misinterpretations
Time to Reflect and Share (3-5 minutes)
Opportunity for a selection of students and the teacher to share learning, present
information, ask questions,
make suggestions, etc. When writing the lesson plan, the teacher uses this space to write
