The Half-Ticket Competition section has 4 awards that are given by children to
the films that they think are best in that category! Workshops. Screenings. Interactions. For students.

CHILDREN’S JURY AT HALF-TICKET

All Half Ticket awards are decided by a seven-member children’s jury from
Grades 4 – 12

The jury is selected from the pool of children nominated by schools

Schools nominate 10 students each to participate in the jury.

They do so through contests within the school

The contests involve asking children to write about films they’ve seen

The jury watches the films over two weekends before the festival

Public screenings of Half-Ticket films open to all on 14th and 15th October 2017
 Childhood is the most impressionable time in a person’s life

Cinema is a powerful tool to open a child’s eyes to new 2015
