Preface
Hi! Welcome to the exciting world of learning and fun with Oxford Advantage,
Little Champs.
Oxford Advantage, Little Champs is an integrated learning programme, providing schools
with a comprehensive theme-based curriculum supported by theme plans, weekly plans
and teacher training.
Oxford Advantage, Little Champs is designed to provide a holistic experiential zone in the
early years of the learner. This programme is designed for three levels – Beginner, Level 1
and Level 2.
The curriculum provides engaging and enriching experiences to build on the prior
knowledge of the learners, who, then, create their own knowledge by immersing
themselves in the themes that are interwoven across subjects. The aim is to start from
concrete experiences and find a way to more abstract ideas.
The curriculum in Oxford Advantage, Little Champs Beginner has been spread across
four themes, selected after a thorough study of the recommendations made by apex
agencies in the field of education. Each theme book has components drawn from English,
Mathematics, General Awareness and Art & Craft.
In ‘All About Me’, the focus is on stimulating awareness towards self, people and places
around the learner. The concepts and language skills will be developed by engaging
the learners in discussions and spoken activities, and tasks related to their ambit of
experience.
