2.3 Performance Guarantee and Acceptance Condition
Performance Guarantees shall apply to the steam turbine generator and shall be
achieved during Performance Testing conducted in accordance with this clause.
Liquidated damages associated with failure to achieve these Guarantees are
addressed in commercial proposal.
The Equipment is guaranteed on a “new and clean” basis for any and all tests.
Toshiba will include degradation and correction factors to be applied to correct for
degradation caused by equipment operation during startup and commissioning and
environmental conditions in Performance Test Procedures.
*1) *Regarding the Generator Electrical Output Guarantee, main steam flow shall be
available up to B-MCR flow with condensate measuring, not limited to the main steam
flow of guarantee heat balance.

On completion of Thermal Performance Tests of the Steam Turbine Generator, the gross
turbine heat rate shall be determined (taking into account the agreed correction curves)
using the following relationships, unless otherwise agreed (Toshiba may propose any
adjustments in its submitted Test Procedure):
Where:

-The following also apply to the performance data;
Performance is measured at the generator terminal less the electrical power supply
to the generator excitation system.
The properties of water and steam for the thermal performance of the STG Plant
are in accordance with the Steam Table of IAPWS-IF97.
TOSHIBA will provide test correction curves in a detailed site specific performance
test procedure during the commissioning phase of the project.
Performance test shall be conducted based on ASME PTC6 method with condensate
flow measuring. Details will be mutually discussed later.
Above performance is based on new and clean condition of the steam turbine. If
more than 8 weeks have elapsed since initial roll before a performance test is to be
conducted, aging correction shall be applied.

2.4.2 Near-Field Noise (1m from any surface of STG enclosure at turbine operating floor)
Under normal operation of the STG at 100% load, expected noise level is 85 dBA.
Some equipment noise operating levels exceed the 85dBA sound limit. Please see
the following table for noise level information.
MSV/CV 95 dBA
CRV 95 dBA
Notes:
Please note that noise levels can also be temporarily exceeded during transitional
states such as: start up, shutdown, turbine bypass operation, load reduction, etc.
