It is clear from the graph that going to a coffee to have a coffee or tea was the most common habit, except in Adelaide. Additional, the proportion of people buying instant coffee was higher than the figure for fresh coffee. In particular, the habit of buying fresh coffee and instant coffee was almost similar in both Sydney and Melbourne. Above 45% of citizens in Sydney and Melbourne had a habit of buying instant coffee. Meanwhile, the proportion of those purchasing fresh coffee in these two cities were around 44% and 42% respectively. However, most resident from these cities went to a café for coffee and tea (between 61% and 64%), which was almost similar to Hobart city. Regarding, at the same time, around 54% of people in Brisbane and Hobart chose to buy instant coffee, compared to 50% of those in Adelaide. By contrast, the percentage of people who bought fresh coffee in Brisbane and Hobart were similar, at around 34%, while Hobart’s figure was higher, at roughly 38%.
