ADDENDA
This Addenda to Engineering specification for Proportioning Pumps of Reciprocating Type
SHAHEEN-COM-ME-SPC-0093 latest revision, is prepared only to modify / delete / add clauses
of the specification, which may help in an effort to reduce the overall cost of the equipment.
Except for new paragraphs, the number and title of the paragraphs in following modifications to
SHAHEEN-COM-ME-SPC-0093 correspond to the respective sections and paragraphs of the
above standard. Paragraphs not addressed in this specification shall be strictly in accordance to
SHAHEEN-COM-ME-SPC-0093, Latest revision requirements.
The word in parenthesis following the number or title of a paragraph indicates following:

Terms or Symbol Definition

Addition - An amendment that adds text at the end of designated portion
of FEED specification
Deletion - An amendment that indicates a portion of FEED specification
that should be deleted
Exception - An amendment that replaces a designated portion of FEED
specification
Revision - An amendment that revises a limited amount of existing text in
FEED specification
Example 1:
(Revision) The value “3.5ft” shall now read as “3.2ft”
Example 2:
(Revision) The term “MAWP” shall now read as “Design

2. BASIC DESIGN

2.1 General

2.1.7 (Revision)
Vendor shall guarantee the pump performance, i.e., steady state accuracy, capacity, pressure
and Shaft power as specified on the datasheets. No negative tolerance is permitted on capacity
at rated speed and differential pressure. The steady state flow accuracy shall be as per vendor
standard.
Tolerance on shaft power shall be follows:

19 and less +10

Motor 22 to 55 +6
75 and more +4
Turbine - +4

2.2 Drivers and Gear Units

2.2.1 (Revision)

The motor nameplate rating be suitable for operation at 110% of the relief valve setting.
