TASK 1

How can Bill assign a sales cockpit template to himself?

To choose a template for the Cockpit, proceed as follows:

Select the Sales template.

INFORMATION: Users must have authorizations for the functions included in the templates. The “manager”
user recommended for this case study is a superuser, so this user is authorized for all functions for all
templates.

TASK 2
How can he assign himself as the Sales Manager responsible for these customers?
Check the system and (if necessary) select Sales Manager in the Sales Employee field to assign
responsibility for the business partner in question.

There are multiple ways to open the business partner master transaction. Options include:
• Click the Customer icon in the Sales Process widget
• Follow a menu path, or
• Use a menu search.

Search for a business partner by entering the code:

In the Business Partner Master, if necessary assign the Sales Manager as Sales Employee.

How can Bill find these functions easily?
Use the Look Up Menus function in SAP HANA or the Search function in SQL to find relevant paths.

INFORMATION: The system will list all functions in the menu that contain the search string entered. It will
also show the path where the user can find each function.

How can Bill add the Activity function to a widget in his cockpit?

To modify the cockpit, choose the Edit (Pencil) icon.

Choose the “+” icon to open the Widget Gallery.

In the Widget Gallery, choose the Common Functions widget.


One way to find this widget is to use the dropdown for widget type. Choose Others.

Select the Common Functions widget, then choose the back arrow to return to the cockpit.

INFORMATION: The new widget will appear at the bottom of the cockpit. You can move the widgets in your
cockpit by clicking on them and dragging them to a new location. If there are widgets you do not want, you
can drag them to a “trash can” in the bottom right of the window.

Once you have adjusted the widgets the way you wish, choose the Checkmark to save the changes.

INFORMATION: There are two options for saving a change to the cockpit. You can save the changes for
this user only with the option Update My Cockpit or you can save a template that other users can choose.

The system will prompt you with a warning that this change will overwrite your current cockpit.

Drag and drop the Activity function onto the Common Functions Cockpit widget.

Add any other transactions you would like to have in the Common Functions widget.

Create the offer.
Open the Sales Quotation and select the customer C20000.

Enter an appropriate text in the first row.


To enter text rows, you must have the Type field visible. If it is not visible, choose Form Settings.

Then add the items A00002 and A00005 along with the respective quantities. Add a Subtotal.
Then add the last item, C00008, and the relevant quantity.

In the Discount field at the bottom, add the 5% discount. Then save the quote by clicking Add & New, Add &
View, or Add & Close depending on your need.

TASK 5
Use the Enterprise Search to open the sales quotation and create the sales order.
The Enterprise Search makes it easy to find the sales quotation:

Enter the Customer Number and Posting Date of the sales quotation in question:

INFORMATION: You can enter your preferred date format for the search criteria.

To open the sales quotation, click on the title:

To create the sales order, click on Copy To and select Sales Order.

INFORMATION The system will copy all information from the sales quotation into the sales order.
Enter a delivery date and add the document.

How can Bill get this information (different options are possible)?
Option 1 – Through the Business Partner Master Data

Open the business partner master data record from the Sales Order by clicking on the link arrow next to the
Customer field.

To open the corresponding sales orders, click the link arrow next to the Orders field.

Option 2 – Using Drag & Relate

Choose the Drag & Relate tab on the left and open the folder Sales – A/R.
To view all the sales orders for the customer, select the customer number with the mouse (wait until the field
is marked) and drag it onto the Sales Order report under Drag & Relate.

To view all open sales orders, double-click the Status column until Open is listed at the top. Click the Open
status and drag it onto the Filter icon at the bottom-right.

Set the Status equal to “O”

Option 3 – Through the Open Items List

From the Sales Process Workbench, open the dropdown menu next to the Sales Order icon or Sales
Reports and choose Open Items List.

Choose Sales Orders and double-click the Customer Code column header to sort the list by customer code.

To narrow the results, open Sales Order in the Layout area and deselect the status Closed.
