Class details:
- Grade 11: B1 level
- Number of students: 35 – 40
- Time allowed: 45 minutes
I. Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Grammar:
- Understand and use effectively perfect gerunds and perfect participle related to
the topic “Global warming”.
- Vocabulary:
- Recognize words and phrases related to global warming.
- Understand the words’ meaning, remember the spelling and definition about
global warming.
- Use the vocabulary they have learnt appropriately to complete the reading tasks
related to the topic.
- Apply and use the new words appropriately to talk about global warming.
- Pronunciation:
- Pronounce the new words correctly and accurately
- Remember the word stress and intonation in specific sentences.
2. Skill:
- Speaking:
- Talk about global warming in full sentences by using the new words.

- Apply new vocabulary in communication, in real-life circumstances and
conservation relating to the topic “global warming”.
- Reading:
- Read for general ideas and specific information about the effects of global
warming.
- Understand definition and given sentences in specific context.
- Be familiar with the comprehension questions exercise.
- Develop reading comprehension skills: reading for details, skimming and
scanning.
3. Attitude/Competences:
- Be aware of the disadvantages of global warming and the importance of saving our
planet.
- Take responsibilities with themselves to protect the environment.
- Encourage students to take action to protect the environment surround them.
II. Teaching aids:
- Materials: textbook, powerpoint slides, homework
- Equipment: projector, chalk, blackboard
III. Anticipated problems:
- Ss have trouble understanding teacher’s instructions=> Solution: Make clear,
provide easy examples in specific context.
- Ss are unwilling to join the class activities and ignore T’s requirements =>
Solution: Give them some gifts or bonus points when getting the right answer or
getting high scores.
- Ss do not pay attention to the lecture and make noise in class=> Solution: Create
some funny activities to motivate them to focus on the lesson.
- Teacher talking time is not equal to student talking time => Solution: Distribute
teaching time and facilitate for Ss to question and exchange opinions about the
lesson.
- Time management is redundant or lacking=> Solution: Control the time
appropriately and adjust to be suitable for various classes.
