o Statutory Instrument 216 of 1994, [acr 2/76 Regional, Town and Country Planning (Use Groups) Regulations, 1994 IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Local Government, Rural and Urban Development has, in terms of section 80 of the Regional, Town and Country Planning Act, 1976, made the follow. Title 1. These regulations may be cited as the Regional, Town and ‘Country Planning (Use Groups) Regulations, 1994. Interpretation 2. In these regulations — “goods means any corporeal, movable property, and includes any part of any article, product or other thing: “industrial use” means use— (@) for the carrying on of any process for, or incidental to, any of the following activities— @ the making or assembly of any goods; or G@ the altering, repairing, renovating, omament- ing, painting. spraying, polishing, finishing, cleaning, dyeing, washing or breaking up of any goods; or Gii) the adaptation for sale or use of any goods; or Gv) the sorting, assembling or packing of any goods, including the washi or filling of bottles or other containers; or (W) printing by letterpress, lithography; photogra- ‘vure or similar process, including any activity associated with the printing industry; or (vi) the painting, spraying, construction, reconstru- ction, assembling, repairing or breaking up of Vehicles or parts thereof; but not including mining ‘operations; or 1005 Regional, Town and Country Planning (Use Groups) Regulations, 1994 (B) as an office or for any other purpose which is solely for the disposal of goods which are dealt with ina manner specified in paragraph (a) on the same premises. Prescribing of use groups 3. The groups of land or building uses specified in the Schedule are prescribed for the purposes of subparagraph (i) of paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 22 and paragraph (c) of subsection (2) ‘of section 25 of the Act: Provided that, if, in relation to any particular area, a use fn any particular group is, in terms of any approved master plan, local plan, scheme or any other statutory plan applicable to that area, prohibited, either completely or unless the local planning authority grants special consent thereto, such use shall be excluded from the group concerned. Incidental uses 4, Any land o building use which is ordinarily incidental to a use specified in a particular group shall be regarded as being included in that group so long as it remains an incidental use. 5. ‘The Regional, Town and Country Planning (Use Groups) Regulations, 1976, published in Rhodesia Government Notice 926 of 1976, are repealed.
