 Laminate is a covering over plywood which gives a finished

surface and adds aesthetic appeal.
 The laminate sheets are made up of three layers:
1. the bottom layer of brown paper coated with phenolic
resin,
2. a second layer of paper decorated with the desired
pattern,
3. a third layer of clear sheet. Both the second and third
layer is coated with melamine resin.

MEDIUM DENSITY FIBRE
(MDF)
 It is an engineered wood product made by breaking down
hard wood or soft wood residuals into woodfibres, combining
it with wax and resin binder and forming panels by applying
high temperature and pressure.
 MDF is generally denser than wood.
 Minimum starting thickness of MDF is 3.5mm till 25 mm.
