Check antenna Antenna or installation faulty for opens, shorts, or a resistive ground plane connection Lengthen or shorten antenna coax cable Impedance presented by antenna length by 4 to 6 inches Provide ground plane at least 12 inches in Insufficient ground plane diameter Upright metal structure obstructing Stay at least 10-12 inches away from antenna causing re-radiation Upright metal structures Battery low Low power output 3A fuse on battery pack circuit board faulty Verify continuity between antenna ground ELT local ground not connected plane and ELT local ground connection. Indicates G-Switch loop between pins 5 and 12 is not present Jumper open Verify D-Sub connector jumper is installed by checking for less than 19 between pins 5 and 12. Repair as necessary. Jumper missing Install D-Sub jumper between pins 5 and 12 in D-Sub connector.
