learned”
I disagree with the statement
“what is taught is what is
learned”. Language taught in
schools are based on
curriculum. Students engage in
a lot of focused mode learning
with content
and lessons that are based on
grammar vocabulary,
pronunciation etc. Students are
taught mainly
focused mode or zoom lens;
therefore’ they never acquire
the language.
Another reason I disagree with
this statement is because some
people learn a language
through watching movies,
reading and pending time
around people who speak the
language.
These people were not taught
that language at school, but
primarily through diffuse mode
learning or acquisition. Not
only did these people learn the
language more quickly but
speak the
language better than those who
learned it in a school.

I disagree with the statement “what is taught is what is learned”. The language taught isn’t
necessarily what learners understand in a first-class, based on a school’s curriculum. Students
engage in a lot of focused mode meanwhile others are distracted by the learning material and
lessons that are based on grammar, phonics, science, and listening aren’t always focused on
every student’s interest. Some students are taught mainly on a focused mode or zoom lens,
therefore they acquire the new language.

Another case could be some people learn a language by reading books, listening to music,
watching movies, or talking to a native speaker who speaks the language naturally. These
learners were not taught only during classroom hours, but mainly through diffuse mode.

Although these people have different levels of fully understanding the language more quickly or
at their own pace. Sometimes they even speak better than other people that were taught
during school hours.
