I. CONTEXT

Program Title: MRF (MATERIAL RECOVERY FACILITIES)


Theme: Improve Waste Management for the PW Clean Environment

Proposed Date: April 15-16, 2021


Venue: Payagan West Barangay Hall

II. RATIONALE
Implementation of proper waste management and Barangay waste policy are one of the
key priorities of the Payagan West SK. As confirmed by the Barangay Sangguniang
Kabataan of Payagan West, the Implementation of this is one among the
Institutionalized Barangay Payagan West SK programs and projects that should be
inculcated in every store.

The proper waste management is one of the main concerns of the Payagan West
Sangguniang Kabataan. The Implementation of policies and programs will bring
consciousness among people and beginning of far better Payagan West Environment.

It is in the sense that the Payagan West SK proposes to conduct and implement the said
program and policies for waste management. This relevant program is designed to
attain the following objectives.

1. To promote participation in clearing and maintaining clean environment


among the constituents.
2. To help everyone realize the Importance of conducive environment for a
better learning. Thus, each stores should be monitored and maintained
cleanliness every now and then.
3. To train constituents especially Store owners etc. on proper waste
segregation and management.

VI. METHODOLOGY
The waste management activity is a yearlong program which is parallel with the
program of the Materials Recovery Facilities (MRF) of the Sangguniang Kabataan of
Payagan West. The Theme of the Payagan West SK will center on “Improve Waste
Management for Payagan West Clean Environment among others.
