Article describing my hometown traditions

Hi teacher,
I’m sending my article, because I think it is very important for you to
check it, not only because of the grade, but to correct my mistakes.

Mexican Traditions

People from other countries usually describe Mexican culture with some words, for
example they are used to telling parties “fiestas”, and so many other words that do not
describe our traditions as a whole.

In Mexico we are used to having many celebrations. These celebrations have passed
from generation to generation, we called them traditions. These customs are usually
performed in the same way they performed many years ago, but some of these
traditions used to be different long time ago.

One of the most important celebrations for Mexicans is “el día de muertos” (the day of
the death), it usually takes place at the cemetery, where a lot of people reunite to
remember their past generations. People will always go with flowers because is a way
to express they still remember their beloved ones. After they visit the cemetery they will
build up an altar with different objects that symbolizes the things that their relatives
used. Finally they will leave the altar several days, as a way to honor their lives.

The day of the death it’s an occasion to reunite with your past lives. Sometimes it is
hard to get used to not seeing their relatives alive, but it’s an opportunity to bring up
their memories and be brave.

I hope that you have liked it.

Thanks for your time.
