CRIME AND CRIMINALS

Purpose: This guide is designed for English B2.2 students as part of the content of the second
unit of the course. Its purpose is to help students enrich their vocabulary working in a
communicative classroom environment and learning different aspects of crime.

Thematic Objectives:
*Students will be introduced to and learn about crime vocabulary.
*Students will be able to recognize and form passive sentences.

VOCABULARY

1. MURDER: 8. HIJACKING:

Read the following newspaper article and identify the passive statements. Also, check how
this tense helps the writer tell the full story about the crime.
