It is my pleasure to deliver this welcoming remarks.

This afternoon’s program of turnover ceremony reminds us that nothing is permanent and everything
changes not in our ways but in God’s ways. This also a reminder THAT BEING IN THE GOVERNMENT
SERVICE IS A MATTER OF CHOICE. ON THE OTHER HAND, DECIDING TO STAY IN THE SERVICE
FOR QUITE A WHILE IS DESTINY. MOST OF US HERE ARE PRE-DESTINED TO SERVE THE
PEOPLE. And THIS IS OUR MISSION.

IN ACCOMPLISHING OUR MISSION, WE FACE CHALLENGES AND SUCCESSES. WHETHER WE

FAIL OR SUCCEED, THE BEST PART OF UNDERGOING THE PROCESS IS MEETING AND
KNOWING PEOPLE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF OUR MISSION.

Turning the baton for leadership is of no exemption it is a part of growing and succeeding in the field of
our calling-public service – in particular, educating and nurturing minds in adherence to the department’s
vision and mission.

As John Wooden an American NCAA coach said, “The success of Leadership is the ability to get
individuals to work together for the common good and the best possible results while at the same time
letting them know they did it themselves.”

Maam Lorna embodied this for she allows us to thrive individually and at the same time binds us as one.

But the most powerful leadership tool she possessed is her personal example! Her actions inspire others
to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, truly, Maam Lorna is a a leader

As you depart from this institution, pls bring with you our utmost felicitations for your unwavering
dedication for the upliftment of the LIS learners. The support, camaraderie, and leadership style you’ve
shown are unmatched. The LIS is forever grateful and sincerely pray for your success and success.

As we bid farewell to someone, we say welcome to another for the ship needs to continue sailing thus it
needs another captain!

A captain we know that it can stir further the ship, a captain that is willing and able to do everything to
make it going.
Allow me then to make a simple run around about this new captain.

This captain is a/n

Amiable person and can easily go along with.

Resourceful for he finds ways to make things remarkable in leading the institution entrusted to his
care as shown by the merits and recognitions received.

Tact for he has a keen sense of what to do or say in order to maintain good relations to others.
This is manifested in his good rapport with his subordinates.

So to my fellow LIS feel free to approach

Dr Art, you no longer stranger to LIS, we may not exceed your expectations but we hope that we may get
there even.

May your stay in LIS brings more merits and recognition, may the LIS learners progress as we envisioned
them to be under your baton.

With open arms, and in behalf of the 11 teaching staff,1 soon to be admin officer, 146 or so learners, the
different stakeholders
