2. Install PEDRA DMS
A. Installation
It needs to Copy ‘PEDRA’ folder from the ‘PEDRA CD’ to the workstation computer.
1. “DMS.V3.1.ZIP” file in the SMART VIEW CD needs to copy in the directory of PEDRA, and
release the ZIP file.
2. “PEDRA.exe”, SMART VIEW_MODULE.DLL” file is activated in the PEDRA folder.

3. After installation the acquired clinical image files are stored as

“PEDRA_DMS_ver_date_number of frame.raw” at the same folder, as well as bellow files.
: Dark.raw, bright.raw, bpm.raw files are also activated for image calibration.
: The log file of SMART VIEW detector for operating is stored at the “log.ini” file.
B. SMART VIEW Detector Manager
The set-up of SMART VIEW Detector Manager Software (hereinafter “PEDRA DMS”) Manager is
necessary for the operation of SV-4343G.
1) Network setting
Factory default IP: 192.168. 2.200 / Port: 7000. For more information of IP setting, please refer to Appendix.
2. in the User Manual.
2) Mac Address
Inherent MAC Address of each detector sets as factory default, that MAC Address is shown below.
3) Connection and Disconnection
Connect to detector and disconnect from detector.
If connection is successful, the software version and Mac Address are shown like below.

192. 168. 1. 254

4) Shot Mode
AED Mode: Auto Exposure Detection and image acquition
DMS Mode: Engineer Mode (Option)
Manual Mode: image can be acquired to Hand Switch connection with SV-CB1
: 3 types mode can be selected and one cycle for image acquisition is 3 seconds including the factory
default time, Ready and Exposure.
5) SHOT
X-ray exposed image considering object to high X-ray energy of Generator.
6) Correction
Auto Correction: Image is automatically corrected when image is acquired.
Correction: Acquired clinical image by DMS/AED/Manual mode would not be calibrated instantly, that
image is only stored as type of “PEDRA_DMS_ver_date_number of frame.raw” at the folder. After clicking
the “Correction” button, the calibration is implemented for the displaying image and the calibrated image
is stored as “final.raw (f.raw)” file at the folder.
7) Shot ready
This mode is only for the engineer to manage free gating time of AED.
8) Ready & Exposure set: Ready time is 2 seconds and Exposure time is 0.5 second is set respectively as
factory default.
Factory default time can be adjusted at the customer site, if the “write” icon is clicked, factory default time
will be adjusted and then that time will be stored if the “read” icon is clicked again.
9) PEDRA Option
Status of detector, restart, reset timing set up with the Desktop and bringing the detector Log Data are
implemented.
3. Making Calibration File
A. Calibration Procedure
For calibration implementing, DMS or AED mode needs to be selected to to acquire the secure image,
dark and bright. “3 dark” and “1 bright” image are needed to make a bpm file.”
Recommended X-ray condition is as follows.
Focal Distance: 100Cm
X-ray condition: 58Kvp, 8mAs, 200mA
Step 1.
Selection of DMS or AED mode: For more detail information, refer to AED mode configuration,
chapter, Page 2.
Step 2.
After 1st step, Click the “Calibration” button will be activated a new window,
Step 3.
Click the “Dark” button after choosing “Correction type 1” to start acquire Dark Image from the detector.
The Dark Image will save as Dark_average value.raw (The acquired dark frame will be generated in the
“PEDRA_DMS\Calibration\”folder.) Dark image will be acquired 3 images after dark level is secured.
Step 4.
After Step3, Click the “Bright” button
The X-ray condition should be set or tested beforehand, Click the “Bright” (The acquired Bright frame
“Bright_
average value.raw” will be generated in the “PEDRA_DMS\Calibration\”folder.)
Bright value [LSB] should be within from 48,000 to 53,000 when the bright image is acquired.
Step 5.
After Step4, Click the button “BPM” and then BPM Map will be generated of which the file name is
“dark_avg, bright_avg, bpm_”NUMBER” in the “PEDRA DMS\Calibration\” folder.
4. Exam Vue Setup
1. Installing ExamVue software
- Open the CD enveloped in packing list
- Go to the Installer folder and run the Setup.exe

Click the Next button

ExamVue is installed and new folder is created in “C:\” drive
of your computer (C:\ExamVue). ExamVue icon will also
appear on the desktop.
2. IP Address Configuration It is required when using each detector using an Ethernet interface
- Go to Control Panel – Network Connections – Network and Sharing Center – Manager Network
Connections on the left menu bar – Right click on the network connected to the Detector – Properties –
Double click the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) - Set the IP address as a “192.168.xxx.xxx”
each of Detector and subnet mask as “255.255.255.0”
Ensure IP address on network configuration. (192.168.xxx.xxx) (Note: IP address is definitely changed
according to each detector)
3. Settings for detector

1) Go to “C:\ExamVue\” and click DeviceConfig.exe

Select “Detector” tap at the top and select “Radise

n PEDRA-17TF”in Model of Detector Settings, and
other settings just leave on default.
At this time, the trigger mode for taking an image
from the detector is ‘AED’ mode (default)
