The Wowhead Diablo IV Class Overview of the Rogue will showcase the current state of
the Rogue in Diablo IV.

This guide covers everything you need to know about the Rogue, including a deep look at
class gameplay, unique class mechanics, primary stats, all available skills, upgrades, and
passives.

Why Play the Rogue in Diablo IV?

The Rogue is making a comeback after taking a break from the Diablo franchise for a few
titles. Combining lessons learned from the Assassin and the Demon Hunter, Diablo IV's
Rogue is back in good form. With both ranged and melee abilities, and access to stealth,
traps, and and a decent defensive kit, the highly mobile Rogue is formidable in both group
and solo content. The Rogue can take on pretty much whatever is thrown at them in
whatever form a player may prefer, and with enough variety, a different build can almost
feel like a different class. Be it stealth and shadows, bows and traps, Poison or Ice, the
Rogue is in and out, job well done.

We have prepared three leveling guides for the Rogue to give you an idea of available
variations on this class. Check them out to see what best fits your bow-casting, dagger-
spinning playstyle:

Each class comes with a unique Dismount Ability which the player can activate. Players
who get hit by an enemy will be dismounted automatically and will not be able to activate
their Dismount Ability.

When Rogues activate their Dismount Ability they will leap off the mount and shoot a rain
of arrows midair.

Specializations - Rogue Unique Class Mechanic in Diablo IV

Unique Class Mechanics in Diablo IV are class-exclusive systems that offer additional
ways to customize your class further. These systems are also deeply entwined with class
fantasy and try to provide an immersive gameplay experience.

The Rogue's Unique Class Mechanic is the Class Specialization System. This lets you
choose one out of three active specializations at a time to empower your character. Each
specialization is unlocked when the Level threshold is reached.

Rogue Aspects in Diablo IV

Aspects are powers that can be transferred to Rare or Legendary items. There are two
sources for Aspects: the Codex of Power and Legendary items.

Rogue Aspects through the Codex of Power

Rogues can earn Aspects by completing different dungeons across Sanctuary, and by
completing the Campaign quests. Some of these are general to all classes, while many of
these are class specific. We have comprehensive lists of the sources to collect all
Aspects of interest to the Rogue.

For a complete list of all Codex of Power aspects that are specific to the Rogue class,
please see the following guide sections:

Rogue Aspects through Legendary Items

Rogues can also collect Aspects through collecting Legendary Items. These Aspects can
be removed from items and transferred to other items in the Rogue's arsenal. Here are a
few examples from the primary Rogue builds to give you an idea of what kinds of
Legendary Item aspects may be useful to you as a Rogue:
Ghostwalker Aspect: You may move freely through enemies while below 40% total
Life.

Aspect of Siphoned Protection: Lucky Hit: Damaging a Vulnerable enemy with a
Core Skill has up to a 20% chance to grant a Barrier for 5 seconds that absorbs X
damage, up to a maximum of X.

Aspect of Corruption: Your Imbuement Skill effects have x20% increased potency
against Vulnerable enemies.

Shadowslicer Aspect: When you cast Dash, a Shadow Clone is spawned at your
location that also casts Dash, dealing 25% of the base damage.

Vengeful Aspect: Lucky Hit: Making an enemy Vulnerable has up to a 30% chance
to grant +3% increased Critical Strike Chance for 3 seconds, up to +9%.

Aspect of Volatile Blades: Twisting Blades cause an explosion when they return to
you, dealing X damage and X additional damage based on the distance the blades
travel, up to 5 meters and X total damage.

Ravenous Aspect: Killing a Vulnerable enemy grants you x50% increased Energy
Regeneration for 4 seconds.
