the majorit aren't helpful.
Thus, I narrowed it down to onl the most useful keoard shortcuts that make me
more efficient.

I alwas knew keoard shortcuts existed, ut I never realized the extent of how
much time I'd save. It's insane how much faster I can navigate the Internet since
learning these.
The est part? The onl take two minutes to learn. Tr them out as ou read this

1. Open new ta
To open a new ta, hold Command and press T. For PC, hold Ctrl and press T.
2. Close current ta

Never click that stupid little "x" to close tas again. Rather, save time
holding Command and pressing W. For PC, hold Ctrl and press W.
3. Reopen last ta closed
I hate when I close a ta, then realize crap, I still needed that info. I just hold
Command and hift, then press T to quickl recover it. For PC, hold Ctrl and hift,
then press T.

Instead of dragging m mouse to the top of the rowser to click another ta, I
rapidl move to the next ta holding Command and Option, then pressing the
right arrow ke. For PC, hold Ctrl and press ta.
5. View previous ta
Likewise, I can switch to the previous ta holding Command and Option, then
press the left arrow ke. For PC, hold Ctrl and press 9.
6. witch to a specific ta (first eight tas)

If I need to jump to a specific ta, I hold Command and select the appropriate
numer. For example, if I need to jump to the seventh ta open, I hold Command
and press 7. If I need to jump ack to the second ta open, I hold Command and
press 2. For PC, it's the same action, just hold Ctrl instead of Command.
7. Open hperlinked text in a new ta
If I'm reading an article that has an intriguing hperlink in it, I open it in a new ta
holding Command and clicking the link. Tr it out here.

imilarl, if I want to open a link in a new window, I hold hift and click the link. Tr it
out here.
9. Put cursor in search ar
I hate dragging m mouse to the search ar to tpe in a URL or Google something.
Rather, I hold Command and press L to jump m cursor to the search ar.
10. rase current search
If I totall screw up a URL or Google search, I'll quickl start it over
holding Command pressing delete. For PC, hold Ctrl and press ackspace.

11. Highlight next word in search
To highlight the next word in a search, I hold hift and Option, then press the right
arrow ke. For PC, hold Ctrl and press the right arrow ke. I use this to quickl
highlight a word if I need to delete it.
12. Highlight previous word in search
To highlight the previous word, hold hift and option, then press the left arrow ke.
For PC, hold Ctrl and press the left arrow ke.

13. Go ack to previous page
Wanna jump ack to the previous page? Just press delete. On PC, press
ackspace.
14. Go forward to next page
Wanna go forward? Hold hift and press delete. On PC, hold shift and press
ackspace.

15. Reloads current page
Is the page frozen? Hold Command and press R to quickl reload it. On PC, hold
Ctrl and press R.
16. Opens the find ar
Need to find a ke word or phrase on the page? Hold Command and press F. Then
simpl tpe what ou're looking for. On PC, hold Ctrl and press F.

17. crolls to next kewords in find ar
The first keword isn't correct that appears in the find ar? Press nter to move to
the next search term. On PC, hold Ctrl and press G.
18. crolls to previous kewords in find ar
To scroll ackwards to the previous keword, hold hift and press nter. On PC,
hold Ctrl and press G.

19. ave current page as ookmark
Read an awesome article? Or need to ookmark a useful tool? Hold Command and
press D. On PC, hold Ctrl and press D.
20. Open settings page
Need to activate an extension (such as idekick, an email productivit tool)? Hold
command and press the comma ke. There is no keoard shortcut for this for PC.

21. Open downloads page
Downloaded something ou quickl need to reference? Hold Command and hift,
then press J. For PC, hold Ctrl and press J.
22. Open new window
When I have too man tas open, ut I don't want to close them et, I'll open a new
window. To do this, hold Command and press N. On PC, hold Ctrl and press N.

23. Drag ta out of strip to open in new window
No this isn't a keoard shortcut, ut it's just as useful. If I want to focus on onl one
ta, I'll click the ta and drag it downwards until a new window opens. This helps
me focus on onl one ta, removing it from a cluster of too man other tas.
24. Close current window
Quickl close the current window holding Command and hift, then press W.
On PC, hold Ctrl and hift and press W.

25. Minimize current window
To minimize the current window, hold Command and press M. On PC, there isn't a
keoard shortcut for this.
It onl takes a few minutes to learn these shortcuts. M logic is if we spend 80% of
our time online, isn't it worth investing a few minutes into mastering these?
