NON-CONFORMANCE OF CEILING MATERIALS

This has reference to the ongoing implementation of the above-stated project. You are now directed to take
appropriate and immediate action on the actual findings on the job site.

We discovered, during the inspection on January 4, 2023 (Wednesday), that the material which was intended for the
ceiling on the first and second levels had not yet been approved, and was present at the site. See Photo A below – an
actual photo of the unapproved aluminum grille material.

As per the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), The approved estimate for the ceiling covers an area totaling 12,656 sq.m with an
approved material 6mm FCB/Single Gypsum Ceiling on Light Gauge. The total area for the ground floor and 2nd Floor
ceiling is 13,248 sq.m (inclusive of the Atrium area & Stairs area). The approved ceiling material is more than enough
to cover both floors. However, the on-site material needs to be approved and appears extremely cheap and not evenly
on the overall cost of FCB.

You must submit a variation/change order showing all computations and additional works and have it approved by the
City Engineer's Office.

Per protocol, no material should be installed without the approval of the Quality Control Division of the City Engineers.
